Shipping Policy

What shipping looks like:

Our daylilies are shown rinsed and prepared for trimming, ready for shipping to Scott in Nashville, TN. We take great care in our shipping process; our daylilies are never divided at the time of shipping. Instead, you will receive plants that were divided in the fall prior to shipping. This means that if any additional fans have grown since division, they will be included along with the parent plants, and we ensure that the largest specimens are selected for shipment. For context, the daylilies in the picture are shown next to a 5-gallon bucket for scale.

Please note that when daylilies are marked as sold out, it indicates that all plants from the previous year’s division have been shipped. We plan to offer these varieties again the following spring.

In terms of growth, our daylilies typically begin to produce scapes in the first week of June. For those who wish to enjoy blooms in the same growing season, we recommend placing your orders by end of April. Any orders placed later may result in trimmed scapes for shipping. It’s important to note that the smaller size of daylilies in May is due to the cooler Iowa weather delaying the start of the growing season, not a reflection of unhealthy or low-quality plants.

After fulfilling the initial spring orders, we aim to ship new orders the week they are received ,however, we will delay shipping due too high temperatures. If you have a preferred arrival date, please provide a 3-day window, and we will aim to ship accordingly. For assistance with your order, go to the Contact Us section and include your order number.

Shipping Season

Daylilies are shipped between May 15 and September 30, based on plant readiness and growing conditions.

Orders placed outside of the shipping season will be held and shipped once the season begins.

Shipping Days

Orders are shipped on:

  • Mondays (Tuesday after a holiday)

  • Fridays (will not ship before a holiday weekend)

Shipping schedules may adjust slightly due to weather conditions or high order volume to ensure plant quality.

Plant Sizes

Daylilies are sold as:

  • SF - Single Fans | One Plant

  • DF - Double Fans | Two Plant

Plant size is clearly noted next to each product price.
 For shipping purposes, Double Fans count as one plant.
