Going Bananas

This cultivar is recognized as one of the best mid-season, reblooming daylilies, offering nearly continuous blooms until frost halts its growth. It produces striking 4-inch lemon-yellow flowers and typically grows to a height of 17 inches. It's essential to keep in mind that as the clump of daylilies exceeds 25 fans, the number of flowering scapes (the stems that support the flower buds) will noticeably decline, along with its capacity to rebloom. To maintain optimal growth and blooming potential, it's advisable to divide the daylily at this stage. Fortunately, the fans tend to self-divide readily when the soil is gently removed from the roots, making the process easier.
