Reblooms: no

Fragrant: yes

Foliage type: dormant

Ploidy: tetraploid

Sunlight: Requires full or partial shade with no less than 4 hours of full sun daily. 

Hardiness zone: 3-9

Fertilize: use well-aged yard or manure compost during planting, then apply compost or a 10-10-10 granular fertilizer on the surface once a year.

Soil type: Prefers most well-drained soils. Maintain pH between 6.3 and 6.8.

When to plant: After the last frost until 30 days before the first frost. You can also plant in peak summer, but it will require more frequent watering. 

             

Planting Instructions:

  1. Place the newly arrived daylily in water overnight

  2. Dig a hole that is 12 inches deep

  3. Fill the hole with water and allow it to soak in thoroughly

  4. Fill the hole about three-quarters full with well-aged yard/manure compost or dirt.

  5. Add water to the dirt/compost mix until it becomes a slurry, then place the daylily in with the roots facing downward.

  6. Push the daylily into the slurry until all white foliage above the crown of the root is covered.

  7. Leave an indentation in the hole for later watering purposes. 

  8. Water the daylily 2 or 3 times a week for the first 3 weeks after planting
